Properties and Microcosmic Mechanism of Coral Powder Modified Asphalt in Offshore Islands and Reefs Construction

The application of waste coral fragments from natural weathering, harbor construction and channel excavation to infrastructure on offshore islands can help alleviate the problems shortage traditional materials, land use long-distances transport. In order promote comprehensive materials in road engineering islands, develop pavement with good service performances economic environmental benefits, this paper studies base properties, high-temperature rheological microstructure powder (CP) modified asphalt through indoor experiments. properties tests (penetration, softening point ductility) showed that incorporation CP increased stiffness stability asphalt, but decreased ductility asphalt. optimal dosing virgin (VA) styrene-butadiene-styrene-modified (SA) is 12% 15%, respectively. results viscosity rheology right amount could improve resistance permanent deformation superfluous tends have a negative effect. Microscopic test show recommended dosage, combination effect better. CP-modified mainly based physical modification.
